From accidental injuries to dental decay, a lifetime of experiences can take a toll on the health and appearance of your smile. A smile makeover at Presidential Dental Group is a customized treatment plan combining cosmetic and restorative procedures to rehabilitate the look of your teeth as well as the general health of your mouth. A smile makeover may consist of professional teeth whitening treatments, cosmetic veneers, and Invisalign® orthodontics to straighten your teeth. Your smile makeover may also include dental restorations like crowns or bridges to correct missing teeth. If you're interested in transforming your smile, schedule an appointment with Dr. Kami'Lah Brown at our Washington, D.C. dental office to get started on your personalized smile makeover plan.
What Can I Expect with My Smile Makeover?
Your unique smile makeover treatment will begin with an examination of your mouth and a thorough discussion with our staff about your goals. During your consultation, Dr. Brown will go over what to expect with your treatment plan, including how many appointments might be needed. Local anesthesia may be used during a few of your treatments, but other sedation options may be included if you will need help relaxing due to dental fears or anxieties. As soon as your smile makeover is done, you should maintain the health and look of your teeth using a good home oral care routine (both flossing and brushing daily). Along with home care, you should make appointments for dental examinations and cleanings at Presidential Dental Group so Dr. Brown can monitor your progress. With appropriate maintenance, the outcomes of your smile makeover should last for many years. Touch-up procedures every few years, such as teeth whitening, might help to refresh your appearance. Veneers and restorations may also need to be repaired or replaced, which can all be discussed at your appointments.
Presidential Dental Group Reviews
My entire experience with Presidential Dental has been absolutely amazing. The 1st time we spoke was at 4:30 in the afternoon and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. When I arrived every single person on the staff greeted me. I waited for about 7 minutes before being taken into an examination room. I scheduled the appointment to address a come and go pain on the upper right side of my mouth. Thought I was going to have a tooth extracted. After the exam I learned that I would need to have 3 teeth removed. Makes sense as I had not been to the dentist in over 7 years. Saying "terrified" doesn't accurately give the full view of how scared I am of 'The Dentist'. 3 extractions? I told Dr. Brown that I would die before I had 3 teeth removed. She then explained to me the various studies and evidence that show how problems that start in your mouth can become systemic issues over time. Alzheimer's even pops up in these studies. But even with all of this evidence, she backed up, realizing how stressed and worried I was. Dr. Brown explained that she could call in a prescription that would help with my anxiety over the procedure. Done deal. We set a date 2 weeks away ( to give me time to process all of this ). I called my insurance company the next day to get some billing details and learned that Presidential Dental was out of my network. I told my dental administrator that this is where I was going because I was comfortable with how everything was explained and specifically Dr. Brown's professionalism. What stuck out to me is when she explained WHAT needed to be done. She stressed that she never says, "this is going to be easy". She said that what I needed done was straight-forward for her and her team. The day before my appointment I received a text informing me that my prescription was ready. I followed the instructions and arrived at the office the next day feeling unusually calm. Now, the reason I'm terrified of the dentist is because of my last visit. 5 needles to the gums - and I felt every one of them. When I explained this to Dr. Brown she said, "not today". She then applied some jelly-like substance on my gums and within a couple minutes I couldn't feel when I tapped against my cheek. Then she picked up the syringe! I barely felt the first one and don't know how many hits there were in total because I didn't feel anything else. 10 minutes later it was all done! Dr. Brown sat down with me and went over the post op instructions and then called in my prescriptions. I still had not felt any discomfort 2 hours later when I got to the pharmacy. Marked the time and then started the pills regimen. Woke up today with nothing but a very slight swelling in the area of the extractions - that has already gone down as I'm typing this 13 hours after the visit. There was not one aspect of my experience that could have been better. It doesn't seem possible that there could be a better dentist - or staff - than Presidential Dental. Thank you, Dr. Brown.

Highly professional and friendly! Would recommend multiple times over
Always a great dental experience here. I was a patient for about 1.5 years and I only left because I moved out of state. I had cavity fillings, onlays, and regular cleanings and almost every appointment went very smoothly. All the staff was amazing too from the dentist to the front desk staff to the hygienist. It’s nice to be surrounded by women of color when you’re in a vulnerable and probably anxious state haha.
Great team, great music, great cleanings! Special shout out to Tiffany, one of the best most relaxed cleanings I’ve ever had!
